We buy good firms. And we keep them.

Citadel is the acquisitions arm of Copernicus and Wolf. We buy established UK surveying and property firms directly from their owners, and hold them for the long term.

You'll deal with me, not a broker.

I founded Copernicus and Wolf in 2025. My background is property: sourcing land, appraising developments and putting deals together with investors.

I work closely with surveyors, quantity surveyors and architects, so I know how a good practice runs. And I see the value it brings to its clients, not just what it's worth on paper.

Citadel is how I buy and grow established firms. When you speak to Citadel, you speak to me.

We buy to keep, not to sell on.

Plenty of buyers take over a firm and sell it again within a few years. That isn't how we work.

We hold the businesses we buy for the long term, and grow them with care. We want your name to stay on the door, your team to stay in their jobs, and your clients to keep the people they trust.

Would we be interested in your firm?

Four quick taps. Nothing is sent anywhere.

What does your firm do?
Where are you based?
How long have you been trading?
Could your team run the day-to-day without you?

Answer the four questions to see.

There are no wrong answers. It just helps us both see whether a chat is worthwhile.

Leave on your terms.

Some owners want a clean break. Others would rather hand over in stages, or stay on for a while. We'll shape the handover around what suits you and your team.

For advisers

If you're an accountant, solicitor or adviser with a client thinking about retirement or succession, we'd be glad to hear from you. Every introduction is treated in confidence.

From first chat to handover

  1. A private conversation

An informal call about your business and what you want next. No commitment on either side.

  2. An NDA, then the numbers

We sign an NDA before anything is shared, then look at your last three years of accounts together.

  3. Heads of terms

If it's a fit, we put our offer in writing, so you can see exactly what's proposed.

  4. Completion and handover

Due diligence, then completion, with a handover agreed to suit you and your team.

Thinking about what comes next?

Even if selling is a year or two away, a quiet conversation costs nothing.
